Functions

To formulate drafts of related laws and regulations, as well as rules; to put forward suggestions on the compatibility between China's laws and provisions relative to economy and trade and international agreements and treaties, be it multilateral or bilateral, of trade and economy; to undertake related work in the formulation of international trade and economic pacts; to review negotiation documents in multilateral and bilateral trade and economic treaties and agreements; to organize negotiations on multilateral and bilateral IPR and investment (protection) agreements; to undertake affairs related to dispute settlement; to undertake compliance reviews on normative documents of the Ministry; to undertake related administrative reconsideration and response.
